Ginny Sanders has worked with the Research and Curriculum Unit (RCU) and the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) in various roles since 2020. She was previously a project manager supporting the RCU’s work with MDE in the areas of Special Education and the Office of School Improvement. She was also a Professional Development Coordinator promoting the joint collaboration of Mississippi’s Access for All Guide. She is currently part of the assessment team at the RCU. Before joining the RCU, Sanders worked in the K-12 educational system for 22 years as both a general and special education teacher and as a special education case manager. She earned bachelor’s degrees in elementary and special education from Mississippi University for Women and a master’s degree in Educational Theory and Practice from Arkansas State University.
