Courtney McCubbins joined the RCU in August 2020 as a project manager for the curriculum team. She is responsible for facilitating the curricula development and instructional design process for the agriculture, food, and natural resources pathway. McCubbins joined the RCU after serving as an academic advisor and student teacher supervisor in the agricultural science program at Texas A&M University. In that role, she trained future agricultural science teachers and guided them on a path to certification. Prior to taking the role in Texas, she spent nearly six years as an agricultural education teacher, CTE department head, professional learning community leader, and new teacher mentor in Cumberland County, Tennessee. There she also worked for the state’s department of education as a regional youth consultant in the College, Career, and Technical Education division and on the staff for the Tennessee FFA. McCubbins received her Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural education from Tennessee Technological University and a Master of Arts degree in education from Cumberland University.
