Bhanupriya Shanmugam first joined the Research and Curriculum Unit in June 2012 as a graduate research assistant, and now serves the applications solutions/information technology group as a project manager. In this role, she manages and executes database and reporting projects and supports information systems related to assessment and professional learning. She has two years of work experience as a software engineer for the banking domain of an information technology company. Shanmugam earned a bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering in 2009 from Anna University in Chennai, India. In 2014 she received a master's degree in business administration with a focus in management information systems from MSU.
